Seoul Korean Restaurant in Calgary

After the pandemic the buffet bar was taken away and you only get one set of four side dishes with lettuce wraps. Additional side dishes are $2 and another set is $5. Food was tasty and side dishes were enough for two people but I miss the buffet bar for sure. Also it seems a little weird, you'd think they would want you to fill up more on side dishes and rice instead of the meat.Edit: changed my review from 3 stars to 4 since the food was still quite good and no one wants to eat at a 3 star google restaurant. I would still go again.

First time experienced was great! We love the choices of meat. Good variety at the buffet and noodle salad were great too. Never had the chance to try some dessert. Server were helpful and parking is adequate.

We loved it! Server was phenomenal, our first time there, helped us pick out dishes and best deal. Everything was yummy. Have to try the BBQ table next time.

no more side dish refill and even the small biofeel drink was not offered after lunch. the bulgogi tasted like beef boiled in water..... won't go back...been going downhill too fast...

I am very happy you bought back the menu back I very love No.12 is the best in Calgary and also I couldn't find the same when I was in Vancouver. Used to be a regular here and recommend it to family, friends, and coworkers regularly. Brought people here tonight and ordered meat cooked by the kitchen. It was given to us lukewarm, and clearly having been cooked long ago when we had asked for it to be cooked fresh. After we asked for something fresh cooked, our server didnt come back for 40 minutes. Not feeling great about recommending this place at 35 bucks a head anymore.

The place is an all you can eat BBQ, if you're new to Korean food, which I was you might find the flavors different, but it was nothing interesting to me. The meat leached flavor and most of the food was pretty bland. The only thing I enjoyed was the green onion pancakes and the spicey rice cake and friend egg, though they were a bit oily for be. Maybe next time I'll didn't more money for the dinner menu which includes a larger variety of meats and dishes and hope it's actually worth the money.

This preserves the exact taste and feel of Korea by its flawless manipulation of its atmosphere; the nostalgic polaroids, signatures of Korean celebrities, and the posters will all make Korean-Canadians yearn for home. Even if you're not from Korea, you will be taken aback by the unique composition of the restarant's decor, staff, and music to immerse you in the air of another country. The food style especially takes a delightful turn when they employ the traditional method of Korean BBQ, where the customers get to cook their own meat from the sunken grill right at their table.

Wonderful customer service. Wonderful food. Great atmosphere. The yogurt drink at the end is wonderful.

One of the cheapest All-you-can-eat prices in the city! They have wide selection of appetizers/side dishes and their pork bbq ssampyupsal and hot beef stew were both delicious! Staff was very attentive and always cheerful. We’re coming back for sure!

Tasty food and good service. Cleanliness was lacking a bit. Old bean sprouts were stuck to the blinds.

I personally think the location is really nice. Anything with the name seoul got my full attention.when I entered the restaurant I got greeted by server.I was taken to my table,very clean.The Atmosphere was very relaxing.Me personally I love all you can eat,I can eat all I want and the price is amazing.The washroom was very clean,I’m pleased.The price for ALL YOU CAN EAT was reasonable.I have no shame when it comes to all you can eat.Me personally like drinking water with anything, I recommend. Stay away from pop because you need space for desert. I recommend eating a smaller portion at a time.They do charge for leftover so don’t take everything.Try little of everything and finish your plate. I truly recommend this restaurant I had a phenomenal experience.

I admire this spot! They offer first-cleass food, their menu is large, The chef in that spot is a specialist, I like a lot eating all their food. The dishes are always fresh, the attitude towards the guests is agreeable. I visit often this restaurant and I not even once was unsatisfied. I recommend it to all.

Bbq your own meats! A little expensive for all you can eat, but worth every penny! Never tried pork belly before, was delicious. Marinated beef rib eye was my favourite. Was nice to try something different. 10/10 would recommend.

Loved this restaurant. A first for me. You get raw meat to cook on a grill built into your table. It is a fun experience and the food was delicious. I would definitely eat here again.

The food was awesome! Everything was delish. The steaks were perfectly marinated. So good to be grilled. I particularly like the bulgogi, it was so tender! The noodles too were yum. We enjoyed the food. Will definitely come back again.

yummy dolsot bibimbap! :) haven't tried bbq yet here but will someday with fam. banchan was good except for the kimchee. didn't taste good. friendly service. even the korean olympic bobsled team all ate here lol.

I come here every time I’m in Calgary! Great value for the price. It’s hard to find Korean BBQ at a good price. The service is always good and food is replenished often. I have been here at lunch and dinner and both times were great. Lunch is less than $20 for all you can eat and grill meat! The restaurant is also very pleasant and clean.

Had a awesome experience here with my wife. The food was served rapidly and the service is just great. Prices are fair.

I used love and recommend this place but not anymore.The have tossed ordering off the menu and now exclusively do All You Can Eat. This was a bummer as there menu was very good.The all you can eat now has more variety as you can see from the pictures, but everything taste cheaper as they just leave all the food sitting buffet style racks. For the price you pay, you can find way better All you can eat elsewhere.

This is a great Korean restaurant with the option to Korean BBQ at the table. The food and service is both good here. The upside of the all you can eat is that you can try lots of things. Just a hint. They have a published price on the menu but if you want 7 kinds of meat instead of 9 the the price is $25 (instead of $34) per person. It’s not on the menu but it’s a thing there.

Love the change in their menu! It is all self serve for the meat and sides. There are so many choices for the all-you-can-eat buffet.Lunch is a great time to come too. Their lunch combos are cheap and filling.

The all you can eat Korean BBQ is well worth the price. The Bulgogi is great and you can take an unlimited amount of meat. The sides were mediocre at best, so we avoided it and stuck to the veggies and meat on the grill. The staff were pleasant and very patient with us sitting there for a couple of hours.

Not bad. The price wasn't too bad for lunch, and bit much for dinner. But good amount of meat, rice and side dishes. Just the flavor wasn't fully there for us that day and we prefer it to be more savory.

Wow has this place went down hill. Used to love eating here and have not gone without feeling sick in the past 3 months. Time to move on.

I must edit a review regarding a few aspects of service. It was my second visit today for my daughter's birthday party. The server was so attentive to please the client's need. As well as the quality of the meat was a lot improved than last time. I strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone who deserve the high end quality of service and food.My family and I tried all you can eat Bbq at lunch time. Variety of selection of food was fantastic. Customer service was outstanding. The price was reasonable. However, the meat was a little bit powdery side. Overall, it was a good choice for the value of money.

We had dinner here last week and it was quite disappointing, considering they have reduced there menu quite a bit. I'm not sure if this is a permanent change or if it was just for that time of the day (dinner ~8pm). I had the pork bone soup and it was okay. The soup was extremely watered down, I couldn't taste any flavour from the pork bone. This place used to be better.

The service was so good, and the food was great too! We got there at 9 and they close at 10 so the kitchen cooked all the meat for us which was probably for the best anyway, let's be real. We were worried about coming in late and having the staff be upset but they were all so accommodating and friendly and we felt very welcome. The server recommended the marinated beef short rib and it was amazing!

One of the best places I've been in Calgary for Korean BBQ. Relatively affordable and enjoyable for the lunch all you can eat option. Amazing selections of meat especially the beef bulgogi. Great selections of side dishes from soups, japchae, and many more popular Korean dishes. They do offer cold noodles which is quite rare in Calgary. Overall a great place to go to with friends and family. Definitely worth it.

Excellent food. Great service!

Our adult son really enjoyed coming to this restaurant on many occasions. We decided to take our family there for dinner and were so disappointed in the quality of food and the cost as well as the atmosphere. It felt more like a cheap Chinese food place rather than what we were expecting. Also my husband came home and vomited, not from over eating but because of the food quality. Sadly we will not be back.

The quality of the meat in this place has gone downhill (I am not sure how but got even worse) and I am not sure if it is the effect of COVID19. There are far better korean bbq place out there and I would not recommend this place to anyone.

We had a great time at the Seoul Korean BBQ last night. It is very nice that you get to pick all of your meats and you can eat as much as you want only for $34!! Great variety of meats, rice, noodles and side dishes, you will definitely not be hungry when you leave! Our favorite was the bulgogi beef and the ribs combined with the sticky rice and the kimchi. Yum!!

This place is worth trying. They serve large portions for reasonable rates. Regularly well organized and with excellent mood. Highly recommended.

I certainly loved the dishes and customer service, great area to my residence. The employees are always kind. Will visit here again.
